When we gather together we worship. What helps to make a meaningful worship service is the idea behind the worship team ministries
Performing praise music and leading the congregation in singing is the focus of those who minister on the worship teams

The worship team can set the mood of the service. From upbeat contemporary music with a sense of energy to quiet inspirational worship songs the worship team leads the congregation as we quiet our hearts in preparation for hearing the message from God's Word. Worship team members may sing, play instruments or help in the choosing of the choruses and hymns for the day, putting them all together in a way that enhances the spirit of worship among those in attendance.
We are thankful for the amazing amount of talent that the Lord has provided for us here at Dalkena. Each week we are blessed with a careful and thoughtful selection of worship choruses, performed with musical skill and prayerful consideration with the goal of bringing the Lord's people into an attitude of true worship.×
Preparing and performing special musical numbers and songs for the enrichment of the worship service
We typically enjoy performances during Sunday Worship Service and at special events and servicesMore Information
Each week we are blessed with a special musical presentation by one or more of our members. Various instrumentals, singing by groups or by soloists, choir presentations, piano duets, all performed by young or old, and all a blessing to our church family.
In addition to the performances ministering to those attending the service there is a ministry involved in the development of our gifts and talents as we grow in the Lord and in the presentation of our singing and praises to Him. As the skill and experience of the perfomers increases, so also does the possiblility of touching others on an emotional and spiritual level which often may not be experienced in other ways.×

Our worship services are of a fairly traditional nature, but with some contemporary influence from our increasing number of youth and young adults (and young at heart older adults). We still enjoy singing the old hymns from our hymn books, but we also enjoy clapping and raising our hands and even listening to some drums from time to time in moderation. We open our worship service with a welcome, a few announcements, prayer and Scripture reading. After some hymns and the worship choruses our Pastor brings us a message from God's Word. All of these things work together to hopefully and prayerfully bring a blessing to each one who attends through a sense of worship and through the exposition from the Scriptures.
